Magnificent views of the lake and surrounding mountains; great for hikers, a paradise for sail boats, canoeists and windsurfers. No outboard motors allowed on the lake, so peace and tranquility prevail.

Muizenberg, on the False Bay Coast, is the closest village to Marina da Gama and boasts Cecil John Rhodes, Het Posthuise and Labia Museums.

Muizenberg also has a great choice of restaurants and coffee shops where you will find the local people eating out anytime of the day. Mosaic, Empire & Olive Station, to name a few, are open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. They are casual and social, the food is great and we can personally recommend them.

For finer dining, Fogeys Railway House, with the best views of the 42km Muizenberg beach overlooking surfers corner, gets top marks for dinner, dancing, live music and great service.
